Dr. Amr Al-Shaal studied at Al-Azhar University, where he earned the prestigious degree of "Al-ʿĀlimiyyah" (Doctorate) from the Department of Religions and Doctrines at the Faculty of Islamic Call (Daʿwah). He studied under a distinguished group of renowned scholars, including Shaykh ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz al-Shahāwī, Prof. Dr. Maḥmūd Ḥāmid ʿUthmān, Prof. Dr. Ḥasan al-Shāfiʿī, Prof. Dr. Nūr al-Dīn ʿItr, and Prof. Dr. ʿAlī Jumʿah. He has received formal ijāzahs (certifications) in various Islamic and Arabic sciences. He currently serves as a Fatwa Secretary and Director of the Department of Sharīʿah Research at Dār al-Iftāʾ al-Miṣriyyah (The Egyptian Fatwa House). He is also a lecturer in Islamic and Arabic sciences at several academic institutions and traditional study circles. He has contributed to the authorship of numerous research papers and scholarly publications.
